Oxygen cutting has been used in the industry for a long time. Today it is the most widely used method of cutting low-alloyed and carbon steel.

- Oxygen cutting covers the entire range of thicknesses from 1 to 2500 mm
- High surface quality
- Low costs
- Possible mechanization, using of multiple burners, and devices with CNC
- Wide range of portable manual gas cutting tool
Oxygen and fuel gas are used for oxygen cutting
The level of impurities in the cutting oxygen affects the cutting speed. The high level of impurities limits the cutting speed and causes slag-forming on the edge.
The most commonly used fuel gases for heating flame - are acetylene, propane, natural gas, MAF. The choice of fuel gas influences properties of heating flame, and thus has an effect on the cutting process – in particular, quality, how quickly the process can be started, the maximum thickness possible for processing with excellent quality.
